Pumpkin Cookies with Brown Sugar Frosting

Yum!

Hey guys and girls, and welcome to my blog!!! Today I bring you one of my favorite cookie recipes, pumpkin cookies! While I make these year-round, I like them best in the fall or winter, especially at Thanksgiving. My version of the recipe is actually halved, and it makes about 30-40 cookies. If you need a lot of cookies, you could double the amounts that I have included, and work from there. I really hope you take some time to make them, and enjoy eating them!!!

Murder on the Orient Express

Original Book Cover

Hey guys and girls, and welcome to my blog! For my first post, I will be covering one of my favorite books ever, Murder on the Orient Express. Even better, they just came out with a movie for it this past November, so you can read the book, then watch the movie!

Murder on the Orient Express is a book by novelist Agatha Christie, and was published in the US on February 28th, 1934. It is also known in the US as Murder on the Calais Coach. Agatha Christie has written over 60 detective novels and 14 short story collections. Other well-known works include And Then There Were None, The Murder of Rodger Ackroyd, and The Mousetrap.

Rating: 9 Books out of 10

Ok, admittedly I am a little biased, but it really is good. I love Agatha Christie as an author, and her endings always have a little twist that keeps it interesting. She also has this unique gift of being able to paint her character's personalities rather well. I first read this when I was about 12, and I still love reading it over and over! She just draws you in with her characters, and their stories. This book features one of her main characters, Hercule Poirot, and is one of her most famous works.

Violence: This is a murder mystery, so there are slight references to violence, but nothing bad.

Profanity: One or two uses of d--n, and a for God's sake.

Last but not least, the movie! The newest movie was released in November of 2017, and I got the chance to see it. I personally really enjoyed it, but I haven't seen the others so I can't compare. If you are a movie buff (like me) I do recommend it though. If you are interested in watching the trailer first, here it is:

Well, I hope you finish off the post by reading the book, or by rereading it! I am so excited that God has given me the opportunity to share my love of books with you all. I hope you have a great rest of the week!
